We are working on a name for the new little guy... and welcome suggestions... Current suggestions include the following so far: The obvious Ground Hog Day 'Phil', then there was 'Tom' or 'Brady' given the Super Bowl implications, but that turned into perhaps 'Eli' and on the political front 'Barack' or 'Obama', and my favorite so far, another Ground Hog day suggestion, 'Chuckie' short for 'Woodchuck'...
If you would like to suggest a name, or are interested in buying little 'Chuckie', please call or email us at Thecritterbarn@aol.com!

Our first goat, Lucy, came to us about 5 years ago. In her first batch of babies was Ethel. And Ethel has had many babies for us since, all of them just as cute as anything can be! Watching them play on the rocks by our pond causing a lot of traffic issues! These 3 from last year are gone, but we have more due 3/2008!!

Spring and Summer mean lots of peeping here... We offer a selection of laying hen chicks as well as broiler chicks and all kinds of geese, ducks and turkeys as well. We will be ordering again starting in March or April depending on when warmer weather returns!

We have been breeding American Warmblood draft horse crosses now for many years. The foal we had last year, as pictured above, Izzy, also known by her registered name as 'Whoop Z's', is staying with us so we have no foals for sale currently. Izzy dam, Suzy, was our very first Belgian draft horse. We sadly had to euthanize her this Winter. We had two beautiful Belgian mares, full sisters, for many years... Suzy and Sally... that were known by many who passed by our store for years. We put Sally down just two years ago. So Izzy holds both our memories of the past, and our hopes for the future! Here are some pictures of our babies of the past, and our wonderful Izzy.

Whoop Z's at American Warmblood Society Inspection in 2006. 'Izzy' received recognition as Red Certified and also received, because of her score, the AWS brand.

Another filly out of our Belgian mare, Suzy, sired by the same APHA stallion that sired Izzy & Elsa (see link above) ... this is The Big Chill or 'Chilly'.
The foal on the left, Pogo, was our highest scoring AWS foal rating the highest possible, Supreme. He was nationally recognized that year as the highest scoring foal nationally. Pictured in the right, with him, is his half-sister Roxanne.

This old picture is a must include as it is our FIRST American Warmblood foal out of our mare Sally. This foal, Bumble Bee, also AWS Red Certified was the first of several of our foals out of the stallion Dutch Warmblood 'The Sting'. Sally died of cancer after producing many wonderful Belgian foals as well.
